On BT putting on a workshop about filling in online applications.
"HR People are IDIOTS. These type of things are more useful to a generation unaware of the capabilities of the online world surely? Though I guess it goes both ways as our generation are more liable to use various forms of shorthand and online speech, which you warily guys find far too informal, if you can even make any sense of it.
There is your short essay on what it'll be about, not forgetting the customary cup of tea and goodie bag of BT pamphlets at the end of course!
I don't need information about how to fill out application forms. I need to find the confidence to believe in myself, that I have certain abilities and that I am competant and capable of utilising them. Which is going to take a bit more than a chance meeting with the BT HR department."
Sorry if you are in or want to go into HR, but I haven't had good experiences with those i've met from inside the industry and after starting reading Lynne Truss's excellent Eats, Shoots & Leaves I couldn't help having a little bit of an angry rant!
In other news I am blogging again! Despite it only having taken four months to come up with some new material for your internet ears, I am back and most filled with enthusiasm.
Here's the customary song of the week: the brilliant Mathilda by Little Comets
See you in bits :)
